Science and Engineering Challenge Day
Hedland Senior High School hosted students from Yandeyarra RCS, Karratha SHS, St Lukes and Tom Price SHS for the 2018 Science and Engineering Challenge Day.
High School students from across the Pilbara participated in the challenge presented by the University of Newcastle, where students participated in half day or whole day challenges.
Yandeyarra students were assigned the bridge building challenge, where they had to use limited resources to construct a bridge to hold a train weighing up to 5 kgs.
Thanks to Hedland SHS for hosting and coordinating the event, and Pilbara Port Authority, BHP and Woolworths that supported participation for all Pilbara students.
