Yandeyarra joins Hedland Schools for the Swimming and Lifesaving Carnival.
Tuesday 8th November was an exciting day, with Yandeyarra students travelling to Port Hedland to participate in the 2nd Annual Swimming and Lifesaving Carnival.
Students completed in a range of swimming and lifesaving races, including relays, individual stroke events and lifesaving challenges; tows, boat races and kickboard rescues.
Yandeyarra students did themselves and the community proud, all doing well in the individual and team events. The Port Hedland breeze and cool water was a nice break from the 45oC days we had in Yandeyarra that week!
Many thanks to the team at Royal Life Saving, in particular Yandeyarra Pool Manager Jacqui Forbes for all the effort and organisation in making it a wonderful day.
