Hedland Lightning Carnival
The East Pilbara Primary School Lightning Carnival was a huge success. Yandeyarra travelled to South Hedland to participate in the football competition against 4 other teams from South Hedland Primary and Baler Primary.
Students from Hedland SHS VSwans program assisted with umpiring and scoring, and were great role models for the kids. Everyone got to practise their Auskick skills, with some kids participating in their very first match! Three students from Baler joined Yandeyarra’s team (as we don’t have enough students at our school to make a team) and their hard work and effort was greatly appreciated.
Award Winners Keifer Green & Tyler Dann
Yandeyarra was very happy to be the winner of the Eagles Cup (undefeated) and with two of our team members receiving awards from Vicki at WA Football Commission, for their effort and sportsmanship; Kiefer Green and Tyler Dann.
The day focused on participation and fun, which was enjoyed by all.
Thank you to South Hedland Primary for hosting the day, and to Vicki from WA Football Commission for coordinating. It was a great day and we look forward to next year.
