Kitchen Whiz Kids

Jessica and Jahmarley Gordon were lucky enough to be selected as part of the top 30 finalists in WA! They flew to Perth to compete in the 2011 Kitchen Whiz Kids cook-off.

Both students had to apply, by selecting a healthy recipe that they wanted to cook, and write about the importance of nutrition for health.

It was pretty intimidating, but both kids did marvellously. After cooking their dish in the TAFE kitchen, and presenting it to a panel of judges MasterChef style, both recieved glowing reviews.

Jessica cooked a Red Curry Chicken with Coconut Rice, and Jahmarley prepared a Beef Noodle Stirfry.

Well done guys – you are champions! Keep an eye out for them in the recipe books available at your local IGA!
