Karratha Basketball Tournament – May 2016

Well done to the Girls team who were the winners of the 11-14 years girls category in the City Wide Youth Basketball Tournament.

The Karratha Leisureplex is a great facility and everyone had a good time.

 

 

 

 

Paralympic Visit – July 2016

The The Red Dust Heelers and Rio Paralympians’ visit to Hedland was a great day for the students to meet some very inspirational people.

Following a trip to Hedland, students were able to try out their skills with wheelchair basketball!

 

 

NAIDOC Basketball Competition – July 2016

Hard work pays off! The Yandeyarra Girls team were the winners of this year’s NAIDOC carnival, hosted by Roebourne Girls Academy.

The girls were undefeated, with a very close final against Roebourne Girls Academy! A big thanks to all the hard work from the Girls Academy staff and the City of Karratha.

 

Onslow Basketball Competition – August 2016

Thanks to the hard work by Yandeyarra families, two teams from Yandeyarra participated in the 2016 Onslow Baseketball Carnival. Great efforts were put into organising the travel, accommodation and coaching, for both the boys and girls teams; ‘Brothers‘ and ‘Bullettes.’

The teams played on the brand new multipurpose courts and enjoyed the entertainment as part of the carnival.
